In partnership with

hey friend πŸ’Œ

it's been a minute. again. (apparently disappearing for weeks on end is my brand now?)

i'm writing this from my new place, where 11 days ago today my cat was in emergency surgery and i was sleeping in a vet parking lot until 4am. shoutout my parents who were in town for the night and my dad who braved the wait with me.

welcome to my new chapter. it's been... a lot!

but something beautiful happened this morning. on a client call, someone from a completely different company said "i saw savvie and i'm literally rooting for you."

i beamed with the most ridiculous pride. after weeks of questioning everything β€” the move, pivots, beta launch prep, and life doing what life does β€” a stranger confirmed what i've been hoping all along: we're building something that matters. tools that actually meet women where they are.

so this week, let's talk about finding peace in the chaos (and i mean real peace, not instagram quote type of peace):

🏠 moved and learning that sometimes change chooses you
πŸ’Έ why that stranger's comment rewrote savvie's entire beta roadmap
πŸŽ₯ keeping your head on a swivel (event videography era unlocked)
πŸ“Ή my no-makeup ad that's now in meta’s ads library forever
✨ plus: what happens when you stop fighting the mess and start working with it

pour something warm. we're talking about becoming who you're meant to be (even when the process isn't pretty) ↓

πŸ’Έ when strangers see your vision clearer than you do

β€œi went down the savvie rabbit hole!”

seven words from someone who doesn't know me, but found savvie and resonated enough to tell me started investing because of it.

it made me realize that this is what our users see in savvie:
β†’ a safe space for money conversations
β†’ tools that don't make capable women feel small
β†’ finance without the shame spiral

what that one stranger gets that the financial industry is still missing: we don't need another budgeting app. we need someone who understands that sometimes your budget breaks because life breaks. and that's okay.

we don't need more education. well, i mean, we do. but… stay with me. maybe what we really need is just need more understanding.

πŸ’Š this week's money medicine: the life happens fund

forget emergency funds (though pls still have one).

you need a "life happens" fund.

emergency = car breaks down, medical bills, job loss

life happens = your cat needs surgery the day after you move. been there. your laptop dies mid-class. been there too. you need to squeeze in a therapy appointment after a particularly brutal week. am there.

you know the drill by now. ad break 🫨 click if ur a real one thank yewww

The Future of the Content Economy

beehiiv started with newsletters. Now, they’re reimagining the entire content economy.

On November 13, beehiiv’s biggest updates ever are dropping at the Winter Release Event.

For the people shaping the next generation of content, community, and media, this is an event you won’t want to miss.

now back to the life happens framework. you can steal mine. it goes like this:
β†’ goal: $1,000 minimum
β†’ purpose: when life,,, lifes!
β†’ rule: zero guilt when using it
β†’ replenish: when you can, not on a schedule

because sometimes the most expensive thing is pretending you’re fine when you’re not.

πŸŽ₯ event ugc and keeping your head on a swivel
the accidental pivot that's working

end of last quarter taught me something crucial about running a consulting business: you gotta keep your head on a swivel.

translation: be open to opportunities you didn't plan or ask for.

someone asked if we could do event coverage 1 hr Β½ away from home in a pinch on a weekend. i said yes, having literally no idea what that would entail. figured it out on the way.

turns out event ugc is everything brands want but can't manufacture. real moments, real reactions, real people.

first event (3 weeks ago): fumbled reaaal hard with equipment at this thing you guys. like, i sat there trying to figure out how to use the gimbal i’d just bought for ten minutes type of fumbled. i didn’t even have the app downloaded. it was a whole thing.
now (somehow): carving out a new service vertical for teague media to do event coverage for local businesses!

takeaway? it’s okay to try it out as you go. as long as you try!

this week in teague talk creator strategy

πŸ“Ή my sweatpants ad in meta's library forever: the tale of how i played myself but made it profitable

last friday afternoon, the agency i strategize for needed emergency content. "we gotta rush this brief for weekend launch."

me: unshowered, no makeup, yoga pants, target tank, harsh lighting. three takes on my phone. upload to gdrive without even reviewing.

them: "we’re running these across all platforms with paid spend”

me, a mere organic social girly: "slay❀️"

but girl.

the ad is now everywhere.

like meta's ads library forever type of everywhere

my thoughts:
β†’ authenticity wins every single time (but like maybe mascara next time cal?)
β†’ the winners are always the lo-fi ones you least expect
β†’ my ego: still processing

if this year taught me anything, it's that perfection is overrated and overwrought. just be you and watch your CAC plummet

🧠 what i’m loving rn

trend: an oldie but a goodie is making an comeback β€” "things that would send a victorian child into a coma" β€” it’s perfect for poking fun at the absurdity of 21st century conveniences and modernity

tool: perplexity ai for client research. it's like if google and chatgpt had a baby that actually cites sources. game-changer for strategy decks + content planning!

quote: "you're not starting over, you’re starting with new experience" β€” saw this on a truck this week and timing was divine πŸ’Œ

plot twist: realizing that real peace (not performative peace) makes you 10x more productive (s/o the Helper fr)

πŸ“§ your referrals are keeping me going

y'all are sharing this community during your own chaos and i can't handle the beauty of that.

here's the deal: forward this to someone who needs it. when they subscribe and reply with your name:
β†’ 3 referrals: exclusive resources (including my sweatpants ad breakdown lmao)
β†’ 7 referrals: savvie stickers
β†’ 13 referrals: limited edition hoodie

because if we're building through chaos, might as well do it together

🏠 the part nobody talks about

here's the thing about life changes: sometimes they choose you.

you can have all the plans. all the "forevers." all the certainty. and life will still flip the script. i've learned more about resilience from watching everything shift at once than any business book.

learned more about peace. the real peace, the kind that surpasses understanding, not the kind you perform β€” from letting go.

even this newsletter. i stopped trying to make it the perfect lead gen just started writing what's going on in my heart. and here you are, friend. still reading.

there's something profound about discovering that peace isn't the absence of chaos. it's the presence of purpose within it. when you know why you're building, the how becomes clearer.

and maybe that's what this season taught me. not that life gets easier, but that you get stronger. not that problems disappear, but that you learn which ones deserve your energy.

and maybe that's what faith gives you. not answers, but the ability to keep going without them.

πŸ’ this week's truth

life doesn't wait for you to be ready.

moves happen, cats need surgery, chapters end without your permission, ads go viral when you look your worst, opportunities arrive before you’re qualified.

but here's what i'm learning: readiness is a myth. you figure out by doing. you learn by dropping the ball, and you grow by staying open.

the mess isn't the problem. thinking we're supposed to be past it is πŸ’Œ

πŸ’š made it this far?

sitting here on my cute new couch, boxes still unpacked, cat finally healthy β€” and i keep thinking about that one stranger who said they’re rooting for me.

maybe that's all any of us need. someone saying "keep going. what you're doing matters."

so if you're reading this in your own messy middle β€” building while breaking, hoping while hurting β€” i hope you know that i'm rooting for you too.

we're all just figuring it out in real time. we might as well be honest about it.

here’s to finding peace in the process.

your friend,
callie 🀍

p.s. β€” if you see an ad of me in sweats selling you something, just know i'm as surprised as you are.

p.p.s. β€” new place has an actual office but i'm still writing from the couch because growth isn't linear, mmmk?

forward to someone in their own messy middle.
