hey friend π
happy friday before thanksgiving (aka the last normal friday of 2025).
this is my first thanksgiving as a full-time business owner and i'm in my feels about it π₯²
a year ago i was still deeply unhappy at my corporate job, secretly building what would eventually become savvie on the weekends. at that time, βsavvieβ was just a tiktok account called @calliescrashcourses with a couple hundred followers, and i had a perpetual fear of my capital markets colleagues finding my βday in the life of a finance girlieβ videos on tiktok.
now i have clients all over the world, am working remotely from my sisterβs because i can, a french chatbot handles my leads (more on that later), and i write newsletters that people actually read?? lifeβs funny :)
on today's agenda:
πΈ yes, i'm still talking about my library card (week 3, no shame)
π€ monsieur noupe, employee of the month
π± what your fav social media really says about you
π€ market update + warren buffet inspo
β¨ gratitude from a first-time founder
grab your fav emotional support latte and let's get grateful β
πΈ savvie tip of the week
my library card is now saving me $1k+ a year (week 3 of this PSA)
listen, i know i've been on this library card soapbox for three weeks now, but before you scroll past⦠get ready for a cancelled subscription breakdown that will have your accountant shook:
β wall street journal: $40/month (free on pressreader)
β the new yorker: $12/month (free on libby)
β the atlantic: $8/month (free on pressreader)
β entrepreneur magazine: $10/month (free on libby)
β bloomberg businessweek: $30/month (free on libby)
β new york times: $25/month (free on libby)
thatβs $1,340 a year in savings for a card that took 2 minutes to get online.

but waitβ¦ thereβs more????
more free stuff i have uncovered this week:
β linkedin learning courses (normally $30/month)
β language apps through mango (gives me time to freshen up on those french courses from study abroad lol)
β wsj + nyt crosswords galore!!!!! - i screenshot and solve all the crosswords i can find in markup on the ipad like a millennial. it brings me unreasonable joy.
π±monsieur noupe: the employee who never asks for PTO
dropped an ai chatbot on teague mediaβs site and gave him a personality. he's french (because i just decided that noupe sounds franΓ§ais), he wears a digital beret, converts leads, and handles FAQs while i sleep.
LADIES AND GENTLEMENβ¦.. I PRESENT TO YOU.
MONSIEUR NOUPE.

freaking adorable and is absolutely slaying our lead gen
why every creator/business needs this:
β answers FAQs for the 400th time without getting sassy or forgetting to follow-up
β qualifies all leads before they hit your inbox
β suggests discovery calls without giving desperation πͺ©π
β points leads towards discounts they didnβt know existed
β has way better boundaries than me (crucial)
setup took 2 hours and i did it all on the plane this week (bless u $8 wifi). he's already handled 47 back and forths in 24 hours. that's 47 times i didn't have to re-explain my services or chase down email addresses π₯³
monsieur noupe est le french bouncer of my website.
10/10 recommend getting your own noupe.

now back to our regularly scheduled programming...
π§ what iβm loving rn
trend: our intern guillermo put this "what your fav social media says about you" carousel together and it's hilarious!
hereβs a fewβ¦
β facebook = you don't "really use it" but somehow know your cousin's ex had a baby
β youtube = you watch 3-hour video essays (guilty as charged lol)
β tiktok = no thoughts, just brainrot, telling your therapist "i saw this tiktok whereβ¦." at least once per session
sometimes the best content you can make is just holding up a mirror to your audience and letting the fun stuff do the leg work.
comic relief: this new yorker cartoon where one of the three little piggies announces heβs leaving as "i'm going solo."
quote: emily susman said "delays aren't failures, they're plot development" - needed that energy ahead of the holidays.
totally random: my sisters bday is tomorrow!!!!!! sheβs my fav teague and this is teague talk which means you get to celebrate her with me π₯³

happy birthday to my best friend since β01, the coolest journalist + the most thoughtful woman i know. so thrilled to celebrate the gift of 30 years of you in this life π« also why was i so redβ€οΈ

π a parting thought for your weekend
ik this is advice from an old white dude but stay w me.
warren buffets the goat. heβs the fifth richest dude in the world (and an investing icon), and if having a healthy relationship w my father has taught me anything, itβs that dare i say sometimes the old white dudes have bangers too.
what heβs getting at here is we try to time everything.
the market, our perfect black friday dealβ¦but you can't time anything. nobody can. not in the market, not in the algorithm, nor in life!
the boring truth is this: the best returns come from doing less, not more. more on that in teague talk 0014 icymi - we broke dollar cost averaging down to the basics!
the only thing you can control is staying in the game long enough to let compounding interest do its thing.
made it this far? thatβs all for this week.
thanks for reading π

let the robots do the boring stuff. lifeβs so short. show up fully where you need to.
until next friday (black fridayβ¦make good choices teague talkers. make your portfolios proud.)
xo, callie π€
p.s. seriously get the library card. it's the best roi youβll see this year.
p.p.s. monsieur noupe says "joyeux thanksgiving" to the americans and he'll be working through the holiday in large part because heβs french but also because robots don't eat turkey. he's available 24/7 for ya at teague.media
p.p.p.s. reply with what youβre actually grateful for this thanksgiving season. mine's the ability to work in sweats and watch the ocean waves break from my couch. 12/10 recommend betting on yourself.
forward to a friend who needs free content in their life
follow @withsavvie + @teague.media for more chaotic founder energy
reply with which social media called you out (be honest).
